Class council calendar
The LFiA joins the Amman Athletics Conference (AAC)

We are proud to announce that the LFiA will join the Amman Athletics Conference (AAC) next year, alongside Amman’s leading international schools. Our students will be taking part in tournaments throughout the year in several disciplines: basketball, soccer, volleyball and athletics.
Thank you to the families and students for their commitment. This is just the beginning of a wonderful sporting adventure!

English Language Olympiads

Congratulations to our students who proudly represented LFiA at the ELO – English Language Olympiads, organized by the Jordanian Ministry of Education, with delegations from Jordan, Middle Eastern countries, and other parts of the world in attendance. They were awarded the trophy for Best Content for their theatrical performance — a wonderful recognition of their creativity, teamwork, and command of the English language!
Well done to all the participants, and heartfelt thanks to their teachers, Ms. Tassi and Ms. Mehta Chotia, for their guidance and dedication!

Publishing workshop for 8th graders

As part of a publishing workshop, our Grade 8 students had the opportunity to explore the different stages of creating a book.
Many thanks to editor Rami Abu Slayyeh for his inspiring guidance, and to our Arabic teachers for their dedicated involvement.
A wonderful experience centered on the Arabic language and literary expression !

Course aux nombres

Our students, from CM1 to grade 10, enthusiastically took part in the mathematics competition Course aux nombres.
This fast-paced mental challenge is a test of logic, concentration and calculation skills. Well done to all for their commitment!

Grade 11 HGGSP final!

On the theme: “Democracy: a tyranny of the majority… really?”, Alix Ignatovitch (prosecution) and Maëlann Corre (defense) faced off in an engaging duel of eloquence.
The jury, made up of students from grade 11-1 and grade 11-2, decided that Alix was the winner, under the chairmanship of head juror Kerim Beyaztas.
The project was supervised by Mr. Mehadjji, in a classroom transformed into a veritable court of law: objections, oratorical jousting and civic reflection were the order of the day!

Lecture by Mr Jérôme VIAL

Our students had the opportunity to attend an enriching talk by Mr. Jérôme Vial, Professor of Analytical Chemistry at ESPCI Paris, an engineering school and member of PSL University.
It was an opportunity to exchange views on the practical applications of chemistry and scientific research. Thanks to him for this presentation, which aroused the curiosity of our students!

GS students visit the Citadelle

As part of their “Journey through time” project, GS students visited the Citadelle. They were able to observe archaeological digs carried out by the Franco-German mission, and discover how stones are cleaned to reveal history. An enriching experience, full of enthusiasm!

Green Wheelz outing

Eco-delegates from cycles 2, 3, 4, and the final year visited the Zaha Cultural Center, home to the Green Wheelz association. They had the opportunity to hand over the bottle caps collected, especially during the contest held in February. Members of the association explained their projects and gave them a tour of the cultural center. They hope to open a school for children with disabilities later this year. They are counting on us to keep this eco-solidarity project going.
The bottle cap collection continues—and so does education in solidarity!

AlSamiya School football championship!

The LFiA Varsity football team brilliantly won the silver medal at the AlSamiya School football championships! Congratulations to our champions for their performance and their team spirit!

Where are our graduates now?

Yousef Mejri (class of 2024), 1st year psychology student at the Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier.

CM2- 6th grade get-togethers

On May 14 and May 21, CM2 and 6th graders met in the cafeteria to share games and workshops enthusiastically prepared by each class. It was an enjoyable and convivial afternoon, with the added bonus of meeting up with friends from Wadi Rum! A 3rd meeting will take place on Wednesday May 28!

New badge system for the shuttle service

To improve organization and track journeys more easily, we’re introducing a system of name badges for CM, middle school and high school students enrolled on the shuttle service. Each student receives a personalized key chain, which is scanned at the entrance to the buses, so they can see who is on which bus.
The badge costs 1 JOD. In the event of loss, a refund will be requested. Badges will be collected at the end of the year for reuse, in a spirit of eco-responsibility.

Visit to the "Voices of the reef" exhibition

On Thursday 8th, the senior students had the opportunity to visit the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts to discover the “Voices of the reef” exhibition. This visit rounded off their project on ocean acidification with Tara Océan as part of the “Graines de reporters scientifiques” program. The exhibition showed them how art is just one way of raising awareness of climate and environmental issues.
