LFiA/UNRWA sports tournament

With the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games fast approaching, the French Embassy in Jordan organized a sports tournament at the LFiA on 23 May 2024. In collaboration with UNRWA, the event brought together students from the LFiA and UNRWA schools in Wadi Al Seer. The aim of the initiative was to celebrate sport, with the participation of Moussa Al Tamari, a prominent footballer from the Jordanian national team and Montpellier Hérault Sport Club. The 48 children who took part played some fascinating matches and were honored with medals and awards, reinforcing the spirit of fraternity and sporting excellence.

Mr Deville's visit

In collaboration with the French Embassy and the Institut Français de Jordanie (IFJ), the LFiA was honored to welcome the eminent travel writer Patrick Deville, winner of the prestigious Prix Femina and Prix Joseph Kessel.
During a full day, Mr Deville had the opportunity to interact with the students of the lycée, sharing with them his enriching experience and his exceptional career.

LFiA Web Radio : Amman

 The webradio students interview their peers and teacher Damien about their daily life and experiences in Amman. Dive into a captivating journey through the heart of the Jordanian capital !

LFiA Web Radio : Us and books

The webradio students conducted a series of exciting interviews with other students and the school librarian to discover their favorite books, the languages they prefer to read in, and their literary experiences. A fascinating journey into the world of books through the eyes of young readers!

The final of the Course Aux Nombres

14 students from the LFiA (from grade 4 to grade 10) had 7 minutes to answer 30 mathematical questions on different themes at the final of the CAN (Course Aux Nombres) for the Middle East zone organized by the AEFE.

ADN DEMAIN DURABLE

ADN DEMAIN DURABLE week took place at the LFiA from Monday 20 to Sunday 26 May 2024, dedicated to education for sustainable development in all the AEFE network’s schools. During the week, quotations chosen by the network’s students were shared, a vegetarian day (one of the 7 challenges) was programmed, Fresque du Climat workshops were organized, and a round table was held with Oumou Hawa Diallo, a Guinean activist for the climate and the environment.
Well done to all the participants for their commitment and contribution to preserving the environment and promoting sustainable development!

ADN-AEFE

Welcome to Constance Rupp, who has joined Maëlann Corre (grade 10- 1) from the Lycée Français international Josué-Hoffet in Vientiane (Laos) and Camila Galarraga, who has joined Sara Al-Bitar (grade 10- 1) from the Lycée franco-équatorien La Condamine in Quito (Ecuador).
Érik VERNHET (grade 10 1) has arrived at the Lycée Français de Santiago du Chili and Victorio Vilain (Grade 10- 2) leaves tomorrow for the Lycée Français de Kuala Lumpur.

6ème/CM2 outing to Ajloun

As part of the exchanges between the 6ème (grade 6) and CM2 (grade 5) classes, an outing was organized to Jerash and Ajloun. These exchanges give the students the opportunity to share their experiences and help the CM2 students prepare for their entry into middle school.

The Traveling Family: from Angola to France by car

The LFiA was delighted to welcome a French family who traveled from Angola to Jordan by car. During their visit, they explained in detail their journey (Mozambique, Oman, Saudi Arabia, etc.), the challenges they faced and the highlights of their adventure. The family also shared aspects of their daily lives on the road, offering a unique insight into their nomadic lifestyle. They expressed their desire to continue their journey all the way to France, pursuing their passion for exploration and discovery.

"BLUE" activity: for grade 7 students

In order to maintain a positive and constructive school climate, Mrs. WERNER Cäcilia and Mrs. FELIDE-HABILES Souhila, members of the ” Bien-Être au LFiA – BEL” team, under the leadership of Mrs. ATTIE Joséphine, gave a talk on the damage and benefits created by the words that hurt and soothe.
They thought about and created an activity adapted to our young grade 7 students, to help them understand the importance and value of words spoken between peers, so that the well-being of everyone in the school is preserved and maintained.

Mathias Poiré (Class of 2023): 1st year of BTS in Operational Sales Management with M.Bricolage at the Lycée Notre-Dame du Grandchamp in Versailles (France).

Jeux du Moyen Orient

Two teams represented the LFiA at the Jeux du Moyen Orient in Qatar. Our students participated enthusiastically in various competitions, demonstrating their talent and fair play.

Congratulations to Karim Alkhas from the grade 8-1 for winning the gold medal at the Jordan Basketball Championship, U14 category, organized by the Jordan Basketball Federation.
