Tech away project
The project, which lasted six months, collected 410 JDs and 80 kg of old electronic devices through collection events held on specified dates and locations in Yadoodeh and Deir Ghbar. The main buyer of these appliances was Ghassan from EM Waste (on Facebook). The funds raised were donated to jrdes.org, an association in Aqaba dedicated to cleaning up and preserving marine environments. This initiative highlighted the positive impact of recycling and reusing electronic waste to support environmental conservation efforts. If anyone has any items they would like to have repaired or recycled, please contact Ghassan on +962 7 9679 4436.
Second-hand school books application
The eco-delegates have set up an application to facilitate the purchase and resale of second-hand school books in secondary schools.
This initiative aims to promote an eco-responsible approach, while enabling you to find the books your children need at a reduced price and resell those no longer in use.
Here’s the link to the application: https://discord.gg/HTeXNkBadf.
An email detailing how to use this application has been sent to you.
