Primary school exhibition opening
Mr. Roulland, Counselor of Cooperation and Cultural Action at the French Embassy in Jordan, Mr. Cohic, Headmaster of the LFiA, Mrs. Barbe, Director of the French Institute in Jordan and Mr. Vivarelli, French and Francophonie Project Manager inaugurated the exhibition of students’ work made in class for the Francophonie week on the theme of Time on Thursday, March 16, 2020 in Deir Ghbar. The primary school students who had the best results at the Francophonie dictation, organized on Sunday March 12, 2023, have also received their diploma. Congratulations to all the students.

Interschool Chess Championship
The LFiA is proud of its students who participated in the inter-school championship organized by the Jordanian-Swedish Chess Academy and congratulates the students who won 3 medals:
Cloe Mallah, Group of grades 7 and 8 – First place gold medal
Spiro Batmani, Group of grades 5 and 6 – First place gold medal
Gaia Mallah, Group of grades 9 and 10 – Second place silver medal
Football tournement
The 1st boys’ team and the girls team of the 6th and 5th of the LFiA participated during 2 days in a friendly tournament organized by the international academy – Amman.
They were able to confront other teams and had an excellent tournament punctuated by very nice goals and very nice actions!
The street art in Jordan
The grade 4 students had the opportunity to do the Downtown and Hashimi al Shamali tours offered by the Jordanian organization Underground Amman on street art in Jordan. With the artist and founder Alaedin Rahmeh, the students, divided into photographer/writer pairs, discovered this form of art, which gives its wonderful colors and its original identity to Amman. This visit is part of the exhibition realization on Street art in Jordan.
Liberty Price
This year, a group of grade 10 students from the LFiA submitted two applications for the Freedom Prize organized by the Normandy region in France.
It was Mark Melkonian who was selected to be a member of the jury for this award. He participated with 24 other students in the selection process of the three finalists for the Freedom Prize, from Monday February 6 to February 11, 2023 in Caen.
The Freedom Prize invites young people aged between 15 to 25 in France and around the world to nominate each year a person or an organization engaged in an exemplary fight for freedom.

World Water Day
The LFiA continues to work on sustainable development: on the occasion of World Water Day, all the students from kindergarten to the grade 12 class have participated in a brainstorming.
Their ideas were gathered to be shown in a video. Thank you all!
Francophonie Slam song
The LFiA 1st grade students worked on the ten words of the Francophonie on the theme of Time, and then they enthusiastically sang these words. Listen to them!
Web radio
The web radio students interviewed students, parents and the director asking about their wishes for 2023. Listen to them!
Grade 4 and 5 web radio students interviewed students, teachers and school staff about philosophical issues in order to gather their opinions and feelings. Listen to them until the end, it is very interesting. Good listening!
AES photography project
As part of the AES, the grade 4 and 5 students of the photography activity took photos for a new challenge where they could use the images that are on the school library books to make creative and funny photos.
