Francophonie Day

Every year on 20 March, LFiA raises the Francophonie flag to celebrate International Francophonie Day. To mark the occasion, LFiA has organised a number of events to highlight the richness of the Francophonie.

Women involved in the 20th and 21st centuries

On Sunday 10 March, to celebrate International Women’s Rights Day and Girls’ and Boys’ Equality Week, students in the two classes of 3ème were proud to inaugurate an exhibition entitled “Femmes engagées au XXe et au XXIe siècle” (“Women involved in the 20th and 21st centuries”). Around thirty portraits pay tribute to women involved in art, science, the environment and sport.
Thank you to the grade 9 students for their involvement and to the teachers for their guidance.

Visit from the Instituto Cervantes

On Sunday 10 March 2024, the LFiA welcomed the Instituto Cervantes Amman for the organisation of a certification in Spanish.

Winter camp organised by the Institut Français de Jordanie

During the February holidays, around thirty children from the school took part in the French and Arabic language camp organised by the Institut Français de Jordanie at the school.
The next camp will take place during the spring holidays.

ADN-AEFE

As the LFiA is part of the worldwide AEFE network, which is present in 138 countries and includes 566 schools, students in Year 10 can take part in a 4- to 6-week school exchange with one of the 180 lycées enrolled in the ADN programme.
Camille Pillot ( grade 10-1) began his exchange in February at the Lycée Français de Tananarive (Madagascar) and is currently hosting his partner Alric.
Noa Cantero Roman ( grade 10-2) will soon be leaving for the Lycée Français de Luxembourg with Octave, who arrived at the LFiA just before the February holidays.
Three other students are currently at their partner’s school: Maëlann Corre (grade 10- 1) will be returning next week from the Lycée Français International Josué-Hoffet in Vientiane (Laos), Karl Leger (Grade 10 -2) is at the Lycée Français International in Pondicherry (India) and Tom Breyne (Grade 10-1) is at the Lycée Français in Tananarive (Madagascar).
More photos and information on three other pairs in a future newsletter!

In order to maintain a positive and constructive school climate, Mrs. WERNER Cäcilia and Mrs. FELIDE-HABILES Souhila, members of the ” Bien-Être au LFiA – BEL” team, under the leadership of Mrs. ATTIE Joséphine, gave a talk on the damage and benefits created by the words that hurt and soothe.
They thought about and created an activity adapted to our young grade 6 students, to help them understand the importance and value of words spoken between peers, so that the well-being of everyone in the school is preserved and maintained.

Toyota Dream Car Art Contest

LFiA students took part in the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, giving them a chance to delve into the world of creativity and innovation. Students used their imagination to design their dream car.
